Jibril Alvarez began volunteering with MHF at the International Hotel Manilatown Center (IHMC) in 2014 and transitioned to Gallery Staff and Facility Manager by 2017, under the mentorship of Caroline Cabading, Carlos Zialcita, and Carmencita Monteclaro Choy.
His experience comprises many roles and responsibilities, including: Audio-Visual Tech for events at the Center, lighting design for art gallery exhibitions, managing Merchandise Sales during the annual San Francisco Filipino Jazz Festival, setting up mac/windows desktops, laptops, and networking for Manilatown Cyber Café, and an all-around “helping hand” for Manilatown Staff.
