
Born in Santa Ana, Manila 1951, Remington grew up in San Francisco’s Haight/Asbury. Photographer from 1970-2020 (retired), and currently painting and drawing. Remington works at The Manilatown Heritage Foundation part-time as a Photo Archivist and Facilitator.
During the post-I Hotel era from 1977-1981, he worked as a home delivery person for home-bound seniors, driver, senior escort and handyman of the basement Manilatowns and nearby low-income SRO housing complexes. Working with social workers Al Robles, Margaret Muyco, and Presco Tabios, Remington became one of the many community photographers that covered the Manilatown Community.
