Labor and community activist, Bill Sorro, passed away on August 27, 2007 after a long fight against cancer. A native San Franciscan, father of seven, grandfather of 13, Bill tirelessly dedicated his life to achieving social and economic justice for traditionally under-represented communities. His passion, humor, and humility inspired people of all ages, ethnicities, and walks of life.

The following website is based on the gallery show, “A Serving of Love,” produced by Manilatown Heritage Foundation for the 30th anniversary of the eviction of the International Hotel.
